How would you survive?

If I were stranded on a desert island, I would bring a machete and a fire starter kit. The machete would act as a tool for hunting, hut-building, gathering food and , if possible, building a raft; while the fire starter kit would come in handy for cooking food, sterilizing water, warmth, keeping animals away and as a signal of life to, if any, oncoming ships or aircraft. The thought of being stranded on an uninhabited island brings dreadfulness and despair; it'd be difficult for many people to survive--including me.
